Sea, Mountains & History - Experience it all in Aki.

As well as Hiroshima City and Miyajima, the Aki region covers some of the most beautiful islands and mountain ranges in this corner of Japan.
The Tobishima Kaido in Kure boasts some of the finest citrus in the region and the Sandankyo Gorge in the north is a popular hiking trail especially in autumn.

Everyone who comes to Hiroshima has to visit the World Heritage Sites of Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima and the Atomic Bomb Dome. But there is a lot more to see, including the historic island town of Mitarai on the edge of the Tobishima Kaido with its preserved Edo period buildings and streets, the old quarter of Takehara City, and the oyster huts and restaurants spread across the Aki coastline.
