Miyajima Municiple History and Folklore Museum

A mansion of a wealthy merchant, said to have been built at the end of the Edo Period, has been made into a museum. The main building and the storehouse were renovated, and a new exhibition hall was added to display approximately 2,000 items collected with the cooperation of people in the community. The museum was opened in 1974.
